Bishop Jerry Ogles EMAIL

Bishop Jerry L. Ogles is the Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Orthodox Church Worldwide Communion and Bishop of the United States of America. In 1979, he was ordained as a minister in the Anglican Orthodox Church and consecrated as a bishop in the church in 2000 and elected as the Presiding Bishop in 2002.

Jerry was born in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on 3 June 1943 while father was serving in Europe during World War II. He attended US Military Academy at West Point and commissioned as an Armor (Tank) Officer in 1968. He attended Flight School at Ft. Rucker Alabama and became an Army Aviator. He served in Korea, Japan, Germany, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Jerry was awarded Master Army Aviator Status, this is a status that requires one to survive 15 years of operational flying. Jerry also served with the US State Department in Iran from 1973 to 1979 on State Department FMS Contract to Government of Iran. This gave him the unparalleled opportunity to visit many many sites mentioned in the Old Testament. When he returned to the United States in 1979, he joined the US Army Aviation School in the capacity of Flight Commander, Deputy Director of Primary Flight Training, and finally as Director of Academic Division, US Army War-fighting Center, finally retiring in 2010.

After trade school at West Point, Jerry attended the University of Tennessee and the Cranmer Seminary where he attained a Masters of Theology and Doctor of Divinity.

On his return to the United States and ordination, Jerry founded and continues to serve as a minister at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Enterprise, AL. He is also the the Board Chairman of the AOC’s School of Divinity, Latimer Hall in Nova Scotia, Canada, and is the Chancellor of the Faith Theological Seminary in Gujranwalla, Pakistan.
